How TGH Has Changed the Life of the Baez Family
My daughter, Paola, and I participated in the Technology Goes Home program last year. After graduating from TGH, we brought home a brand new computer with color printer and Internet access. You would probably think I got quite a great deal, but the computer itself is not my major accomplishment. Our life at home has certainly changed for the best after TGH. I have seen vast improvements in my daughters' ability to create exceptional reports, summaries, etc. for her classes. I was very proud when I read the comments Paola's teacher wrote on her recommendation to the Steppingstone Program. Besides talking about her good grades, behavior and work habits, her teacher highlighted the fact Paola creates custom colored reports and brings extra copies of Internet research projects for her classmates. She also praised my active involvement in school meetings and activities and stressed how important it is for children to have constant support from their parents.
We have been working very hard towards the acceptance to Steppingstone for a couple of months now. TGH placed a key role for such a great recommendation and motivated Paola to always give her best.
On the other hand, as simple as it sounds, our new computer has allowed me to spend more time with my family. We work together browsing the Web, teaching my kids how to type, reading the news
etc. Something that my kids will never forget is how their mother didn't have to wait in line for hours to see Harry Potter on opening day. The magic of the Internet worked again.
